NetBop acquires Carmarthenshire web business and expands into West Wales
August 20, 2013
Swansea based web development company NetBop has announced the recent expansion in West Wales.
A leading South Wales website development company has acquired a Carmarthenshire web business from Frequency Is (FHZ).
Based on the outskirts of Carmarthen, FHZ were a small team who have been servicing clients across West Wales since 2006. FHZ works with a variety of public sector and private sector clients which mainly span across retail, tourism and professional services.
The acquisition of clients has been in transition since January this year and the changeover has now been completed.
Mr Meredith from FHZ commented: “Having designed, built and managed websites for clients over the last 7 years it was important to find a provider I could trust to continue the support and services for my customers.“
“After speaking with NetBop and discussing our client’s requirements it was an obvious choice to progress a deal with NetBop. NetBop has been recently involved in similar acquisitions so they had clear steps, processes and the technical ability to make the transition as smooth as possible.“
“It made complete sense to transfer all my web development and hosting to a provider we could trust, but most of all would continue to look after our clients in the way that we would want.“
Speaking of the acquisition, NetBop founder Andrew Downie summarised: “We are very pleased with the transition period with FHZ and many of the team here have already met with a great number of the new clients.“
“It’s an incredibly exciting year for us so far as, in addition to this acquisition, we have completed bespoke e-commerce developments for Dr Organic, Shaws The Drapers and LBS Builders Merchants and this September see’s us working on our largest e-commerce store of over 60,000 products.“
“Over the past few years we have chosen to expand over the Seven Bridge into England and it’s exciting to be helping to grow more Welsh businesses by using their website effectively and ultimately helping to grow the Welsh economy. “
NetBop was advised on the acquisition by Swansea based advisory firm Butterfield Morgan Corporate Finance.
